alright.

Spain is good.  It's cool in the mornings and evenings, but really hot in the day time.  As soon as the sun starts going down, it gets pretty cool.  In the shade though, during the day, it's actually cool.  It's pretty neat.

We're working on a design project here and it'll be pretty incredible once it's all said and done.  Also, we're doing a fine art photography project i'm pretty excited about.  We're suppose to do a project that kind of tells a story about Spain.  I have chosen to do mine about the heat in spain. And how Malaga is a Meaderteranian coastal city and how the people of Spain deal with the climate.

It'll be interesting.  I want to do a lot of shadows and stuff like that.

Anyway, I've been in class from like 10am till 8pm.  It's been a long day and i want to take a nap.

Alright.  This story has been in need of telling for awhile.

I got in Spain a few days ago.  but it wasn't the easiest journey i've ever had.

i think i want to do this itinerary style.

5:00- wake up, take a shower, get ready for a bus/train/plane ride

5:45-walk up to the door, and realize I'm locked in my own room.

Note: we were staying in an older hotel.  you know those skeleton keys that you can see straight through the key hole?  Ya, one of those.  and in case you didn't know, if you lock one of those doors from the other side (in this case, one of my room mates did) the people on the inside cannot get out, which, by the way is one of the more costraphic expriences of a humans life.

5:46- call the front desk and ask "parla engles?"
5:46:30-the answer was no.
5:47-laci says "i don't think the phrase 'i'm locked in my own room.' is in my italian phrase book." I laugh half heartedly and reply. "no, you're probably right."
5:48- open the windows because the street is right there, and hope that one of my team mates will notice i'm not at breakfast
5:50- Jamie comes and is informed of the situation, and apparently I abruptly said 'go get the room key from Lizzy.  She's asleep on the balcone."
5:55-we eat breakfast and are off for the train station that will take us to rome from orvieto to board a plane that will take us to malaga, spain.
7:00-Arrive at the train station and board said train.
7:30- Todd questions why we haven't moved.  I figure, it's italy, i'm sure we'll leave soon
7:45-We're informed that the train will be delayed by at least an hour
8:00-Just kidding they say.  It'll be delayed by at least 4 to 5 hours.
8:15-we decided we needed to get a taxi to rome (very expensive) or rent a car (highly unlikely).
8:30-we find a car (good job todd) and drive to Rome.
10:30-Todd gets lost on a round-about trying to find a gas station.
11:00-we hit traffic and finally give up.  Our flight leaves in half an hour, there's no way we're making it.
11:40-walk up to the ticket counter and ask how to fix our problem of missing our flight.  The flight ticket lady gives us mercy for trying so hard to make it, all in vain.  We don't have to pay a fine for rescheduling our tickets, but we do have to wait till the next day to leave, due to there being only one flight to Malaga Spain a day.
11:50-we decided we should probably stay at the same hotel that the rest of t he art tour people are staying at which also means we get to go to the beach (which was actually a really great change from all the art touring we did)

Next Day.
7:00-get up and try this whole plane thing again.  Our flight is suppose to elave at 11:30

11:30-we're informed that our flight will be delayed half an hour
12:00-Flight is now delayed an hour more
2:00-finally on the plane. (notice... way more than an hour.
2:15-lift off.  The only thing that could go wrong now is A) crash B)lost luggage
5:00-land and go to baggage pick-up
6:15-finally get luggage off the luggage pick up thing.  Yes.  notice ethat took an hour.
7:00ish arrive at the place we are working and studying greeted by our team.

I don't think i've ever had a more complicated traveling experience.

I'm going to upload pictures tommrow of italy. promise.
